CIS Students Visit QTS Data Center

featured-qtsATLANTA – On December 3, 2015, 14 CIS students visited the QTS Data Center, a leading national provider of data center solutions and fully managed services, located in Metro Atlanta.

Undergraduate and graduate students were given an hour-long tour of the premium facility’s infrastructure. They explored the data center’s fully integrated 3Cs platform, which includes custom turnkey data space, colocation, and cloud and managed services.

During the tour, students also learned details of the mega data center’s world-class high performance solutions designed to accommodate both the large enterprise and small business user.

“This was a great opportunity for our CIS students to understand multifaceted security, redundant infrastructure, flexible/scalable solutions, etc.,” said Dr. J.P. Shim, director of RCB Korean Initiatives, who coordinated the event.

With 970,000 square feet of total space, QTS Atlanta-Metro is one of America’s largest data centers in the world.
